Every…NEW car is covered by several warranties. The first is a Bumper-to-Bumper warranty which lasts 3 years and/or 36,000 miles by Federal law. It covers virtually everything on your car…except the tires. Those are covered by a separate warranty from the tire manufacturer. So anything going wrong in the first 36 months will be covered for you…one way or the other. The catalytic system and rust thru protection are also part of a new car warranty. In fact those warranties will follow the new car to the next owner….if you’re with in the time and mileage allowances for them.

Even paint defects…which never used to be covered by any manufacturer, have been included since about 2016..??? I think. Check you individual warranty books for your manufacturers specifics. So buying a new car does come with a lot of peace of mind. So this is why I always tell clients that any car with a warranty is a good thing. And obviously some used cars come with either the balance of the original manufacturers warranty still with them…or they may have been “Certified” by the dealer to “Extend” the warranty from the factory. This is always a good thing for the next buyer.

You can as… a third option….buy an extended warranty on your own thru the dealer if the original one has expired. It is a good idea to review all your warranty options ,before you leasve the dealership. Extended warranties are good and they do what they say for the most part. Not like a few years ago where the company fought you on every claim.

You have lots of choices…make the best of them and choose wisely….it can save you time, money and grief down the road. If you’re looking to buy any New or Used car, Truck or SUV…better Call¬† 503-643-4585 or Click Bob @ BestCarDealinTown.com. You’ll find a “Better Way to Buy Any Car.!!”
