What's the Best Car Wax on the Market?

You have a lot of choices when it comes to buying car wax. Unless you’ve been around an auto detail shop all your life…how’s the average guy or gal supposed to know which one really works the best and lasts the longest?

Well you’ve come to the right article. I’ve been detailing new and classic cars all my life. I trained on the best , in my opinion…Meguiar’s. I’ve used most of their products over the years. From cleaners to rubbing compounds to wax, I’ve tried them all.  And the answer is…still Meguiar’s. Their  NXT Next Generation Polymer wax is unbelieveable.

Made from a technologically advanced synthetic protectant.. it sets the gold standard for modern waxes. It’s easy to use, comes with it’s own easy on applicator and it comes off like a dream. You can let it completely dry and it still comes off with ease. This is where the story get even better. Once you take it off, you’ll have a lasting shine that will stay for years. Yes that’s right years. I currently have it on my 2001 Corvette. It’s been on for three years with no renewal. I drive this car everyday,  even in the Winter and it stands up to the worst weather Portland, Oregon can throw at it.

If you don’t want to spend all weekend waxing and re-waxing your dream car…then get this stuff. You are done in a couple of hours and forget about it for probably as long as most people own their car. If you need more information on NXT from Meguiar’s then call 503-643-4585 or click Bob Bonnell at BestCarDealinTown.com for more information.

As the Price of Gasoline goes up…So can your Savings!

All of us are acutely aware of gas prices. Since the Fall, of 2006 the price of all grades of gasoline including Diesel has fluctuated wildly…sometimes without any real reason at all.
Since none of us can control the price of gas…then we must control the way in which we use it. Here are some easy and common sense tips to incrteasing your time between fill-ups.
1. Buckle your seat belt first- Many of us get into our cars and immediately start the engine. Then we fix our hair, position ourselves in the seat and put our cell phone headset on. Start your engine last. then you won’t burn gas needlessly while preparing to blast off.
2.Place a vinyl cover on the back of your pick-up- Any truck driver knows that the less wind howling through the pick-up bed, the less drag there is… the better the fuel economy. The covers can be very inexpensive and they also keep everything dry in the back of the truck, you win twice.
3. If it’s time to re-tire your vehicle- Choose a tire that has the increased fuel economy rating. Many brands are now making gas saving tires. Check with your tire expert for the one that’s right for you.

Used Car Market is Fast and Furious

If you’re in the market for a used car…any used car make or model, then you’ve also noticed a shortage of supply. We are in a very unusual time, when supply is far lower than demand. We’ve seen this happen over the last 18 months or so in the new vehicle arena. But now there seems to be a log jam in the used car flow.
Why did this happen? It’s hard to say. Some say the “Cash for Clunkers” program last August is the reason. Others say the market has been soft so long, that not enough buying and selling has taken place to re-supply the market. Then again Buyers may just be wary of taking on new debt…so without their trade-in we have no used cars flowing into the system.
Whatever the reason…there’s a definite void in the market. A good dealer friend of mine recently tried to buy one or all of 8 Honda Odessey vans in New Jersey. Ready to pay for them and the $900 transportation bill each to get them home to Portland. He never even got to place a bid. They all sold on-line at the early “Buy-it-Now” price. It’s a frustrating time.
So to get trough this narrow spot in the market call Bob @ Vehicle Buyer’s Service. I can find what you want at the right price and quickly. Go to BestCarDealintown.com for “A Better way to Buy a Car”.

Hyundai and Kia May Have Just the Right Timing For You!!

Not sure whether Toyota’s the right choice right now?? Well You may have more great options than you realized by looking at Both Hyundai and Kia Motors.

But let’s take Hyundai for a moment. Edmunds.com says that the Hyundai Brand was rising faster then the Mississippi River after 10 inches of rain. But this perfect storm that has caught Toyota by the tailpipe may have turned as many as 4 million new potential; buyers toward Hyundai.

It’s actually quite simple. For the first time,Hyundai passed both Toyota and Honda in Brand loyalty in February this year. Further, Hyundai which launched the all new, re-designed Sonata made the top 10 most looked at during the same month of February! Quite an achievement for a vehicle not even available to drive.

Then at the same time Hyundai launched the NEW Tuscon. Which rapidly became the MOST considered vehicle of all 454 searches on Edmunds.com. Another amazing milestone.

These products have come a long way from 10 years ago. They are world class contenders for your vehicle dollar. They also just happen to carry a 10 year/ 100,000 mile warranty on the powertrain to the first buyer. Another great benefit of owning a Hyundai product.

These two accomplishments are remarkable for any manufacturer. But considering they both happened in February…well now that’s mighty good.

Hi Bob,

I called Bob while I was in Chicago and told him that I would be back to Portland in a few days and what I was looking for.  By the time I arrived home, he had several options for me to look at.  We spent a few hours going to see al of our options, all of which were great vehicles.  Steve and I wanted to do our homework over the next few days.  When we decided which one we were going to purchase, I called Bob.  He made an appointment for us at the dealership and the rest is history.  No pressure; no sales negotiations; just outstanding, friendly service!  I would highly recommend Bob anytime you’re looking for a new or used vehicle!

Toyota's Small Glitch….Turns into a Full Scale Emergency!

Toyota has had several “Quality” concerns over the last eight years. But none as serious as the present recall. Eight Toyota models have been placed on the “Do Not Sell List”.  At least until the defective accelerator part has been repaired or repalced. Some models will be called in that were built as early as 2005.  Here’s a complete list of the recalled Toyotas by model and year:

2005-2010 Avalon

2007-2010 Camry

2009-2010 Corolla

2010 Highlander

2009-2010 Matrix

2009-2010 RAV-4

2008-2010 Sequoia

2007-2010 Tundra

There is no way to know how long this recall will last. Parts are being shipped to Toyota dealers and factories, across the country,  as quickly as possible. Dealers are worried about the image this presents to the public. They should be.  Edmunds.com reports that the Camry has dropped over 15% in likely consideration by consumers as their next car.  There will be similar drops in Toyota popularity as long as this recall is in the news.

Fortunately…there are many makes and models of  vehicles  to choose from, besides Toyota.  And if you want to know just how easy the buying experience can be…just call Bob @ Vehicle Buyer’s Service. 503-643-4585. I’ll make your next vehicle purchase… Fast, Fun and a  Money Saving experience!

Cash for clunkers is over. As of 5pm on August 24th, no more rebates were accepted

But what was the outcome of this automotive “Feeding Frenzy”. Well let’s see…It was the highest and fastest selling 4and a half week selling period in automotive history! That’s really a good thing…I think? They claim that over 90 % of all new cars on the ground at dealerships were sold and are now residing in someone’s garage!! That sounds really good too. Many dealers are please and the profits will be good for the 3rd Quarter this year. Payments have been a little bit slow…but are now coming at a fairly good rate as of last week. Everyone in the car business is pleased and it will probably go down as the best $3 Billion Dollars of the stimulus program.

However…there is one small irony to leave you with. If a turned in clunker got 15 mpg and drove 12,000 miles per year it used 800 gallons of gas per year.

If the new vehicle gets 25mpg and runs 12,000 miles per year it uses 480 gallons per year.

So the average clunker deal will reduce consumption by 320 gallons per year per car.

They claim 700,000 vehicles were sold. So that’s 224 million gallons of gas saved in one year.

That equals 5 million barrels of oil…about 1/4 of one days consumption.

5 million barrels of oil costs $350 Million dollars @ $75 per barrel.

So…we spent $3 Billion dollars to save $350 Million dollars. Hey…but who’s counting, I loved the whole thing!!

And if you want information on how to save money now that the clunkers are gone gone…Just call or click Bob @ Vehicle Buyer’s Service.com. 503-643-4585.

Fact or Fiction? The Chevrolet Nova sold poorly in Spanish-speaking countries because its name translates as “doesn’t go” in Spanish.  Click here for the answer.

Thank you for finding me the truck of my dreams!

Bob,

Thank you for finding me the truck of my dreams!  I wish I would have talked to you in the beginning of a three month extensive search of the Western US for a three quarter ton new pickup with all the bells and whistles.  You assured me you would find a truck with the best price.  You found me that truck and no one could come close to your price.  The price you gave me was haggle free and steadfast.   On top of finding a truck with the best price, you provided excellent customer service.  I have to add I bought the truck sight unseen entirely over the phone as I am seven hundred miles away.  You proved trustworthy in t he entire transaction.   I plan to buy our next vehicle through you and will recommend you to all my friends and family.

Thank you Bob,
Regards,
Chris Doty

Cash for Clunker's Is Here!!! Officially on July 24th…But you can make plans now!!!

Under a new Federal government program called “Car Allowance Rebate Program”, you can get up to $4500 in an instant rebate voucher, when buying a new car.  Any new car, truck or SUV qualifies as long as it meets the increased gas mileage requirements And was produced within the last 25 years.

The combined mileage on your present vehicle must be 18 miles per gallon or less. Then based on charts showing the intended car or truck you want to purchase, you must increase at least 4 miles per gallon on a car and 2 miles per gallon on a truck to qualify for the $3500 voucher.

If the car you want gets 10 more miles per gallon, than your existing or the truck gets 5 more miles per gallon than your existing…you will qualify for  a $4500 voucher. This voucher is the same as an instant rebate. It comes right off the bottom line of the price. You don’t wait for a check and you don’t wait for next years tax return. It’s NOW.  In fact the program will run out on November 30th, 2009 or …when 1 Billion dollars in vouchers have been cashed!!

If you are thinking about buying a new car…any make or model…NOW’s the time!!! You get a big bonus from Uncle Sam and you also get the manufacturer’s rebate (if any) TOO!!!

If you have a “Clunker” that you have owned, registered and insured for the last 365 continuous days ( 1 Year)…you may qualify for one of the biggest federal rebates…EVER!
