Hi Bob,
I called Bob while I was in Chicago and told him that I would be back to Portland in a few days and what I was looking for. By the time I arrived home, he had several options for me to look at. We spent a few hours going to see al of our options, all of which were great vehicles. Steve and I wanted to do our homework over the next few days. When we decided which one we were going to purchase, I called Bob. He made an appointment for us at the dealership and the rest is history. No pressure; no sales negotiations; just outstanding, friendly service! I would highly recommend Bob anytime you’re looking for a new or used vehicle!

Toyota has had several “Quality” concerns over the last eight years. But none as serious as the present recall. Eight Toyota models have been placed on the “Do Not Sell List”. At least until the defective accelerator part has been repaired or repalced. Some models will be called in that were built as early as 2005. Here’s a complete list of the recalled Toyotas by model and year:
2005-2010 Avalon
2007-2010 Camry
2009-2010 Corolla
2010 Highlander
2009-2010 Matrix
2009-2010 RAV-4
2008-2010 Sequoia
2007-2010 Tundra
There is no way to know how long this recall will last. Parts are being shipped to Toyota dealers and factories, across the country, as quickly as possible. Dealers are worried about the image this presents to the public. They should be. Edmunds.com reports that the Camry has dropped over 15% in likely consideration by consumers as their next car. There will be similar drops in Toyota popularity as long as this recall is in the news.
Fortunately…there are many makes and models of vehicles to choose from, besides Toyota. And if you want to know just how easy the buying experience can be…just call Bob @ Vehicle Buyer’s Service. 503-643-4585. I’ll make your next vehicle purchase… Fast, Fun and a Money Saving experience!

But what was the outcome of this automotive “Feeding Frenzy”. Well let’s see…It was the highest and fastest selling 4and a half week selling period in automotive history! That’s really a good thing…I think? They claim that over 90 % of all new cars on the ground at dealerships were sold and are now residing in someone’s garage!! That sounds really good too. Many dealers are please and the profits will be good for the 3rd Quarter this year. Payments have been a little bit slow…but are now coming at a fairly good rate as of last week. Everyone in the car business is pleased and it will probably go down as the best $3 Billion Dollars of the stimulus program.
However…there is one small irony to leave you with. If a turned in clunker got 15 mpg and drove 12,000 miles per year it used 800 gallons of gas per year.
If the new vehicle gets 25mpg and runs 12,000 miles per year it uses 480 gallons per year.
So the average clunker deal will reduce consumption by 320 gallons per year per car.
They claim 700,000 vehicles were sold. So that’s 224 million gallons of gas saved in one year.
That equals 5 million barrels of oil…about 1/4 of one days consumption.
5 million barrels of oil costs $350 Million dollars @ $75 per barrel.
So…we spent $3 Billion dollars to save $350 Million dollars. Hey…but who’s counting, I loved the whole thing!!
And if you want information on how to save money now that the clunkers are gone gone…Just call or click Bob @ Vehicle Buyer’s Service.com. 503-643-4585.

Fact or Fiction? The Chevrolet Nova sold poorly in Spanish-speaking countries because its name translates as “doesn’t go” in Spanish. Click here for the answer.

Bob,
Thank you for finding me the truck of my dreams! I wish I would have talked to you in the beginning of a three month extensive search of the Western US for a three quarter ton new pickup with all the bells and whistles. You assured me you would find a truck with the best price. You found me that truck and no one could come close to your price. The price you gave me was haggle free and steadfast. On top of finding a truck with the best price, you provided excellent customer service. I have to add I bought the truck sight unseen entirely over the phone as I am seven hundred miles away. You proved trustworthy in t he entire transaction. I plan to buy our next vehicle through you and will recommend you to all my friends and family.
Thank you Bob,
Regards,

Under a new Federal government program called “Car Allowance Rebate Program”, you can get up to $4500 in an instant rebate voucher, when buying a new car. Any new car, truck or SUV qualifies as long as it meets the increased gas mileage requirements And was produced within the last 25 years.
The combined mileage on your present vehicle must be 18 miles per gallon or less. Then based on charts showing the intended car or truck you want to purchase, you must increase at least 4 miles per gallon on a car and 2 miles per gallon on a truck to qualify for the $3500 voucher.
If the car you want gets 10 more miles per gallon, than your existing or the truck gets 5 more miles per gallon than your existing…you will qualify for a $4500 voucher. This voucher is the same as an instant rebate. It comes right off the bottom line of the price. You don’t wait for a check and you don’t wait for next years tax return. It’s NOW. In fact the program will run out on November 30th, 2009 or …when 1 Billion dollars in vouchers have been cashed!!
If you are thinking about buying a new car…any make or model…NOW’s the time!!! You get a big bonus from Uncle Sam and you also get the manufacturer’s rebate (if any) TOO!!!
If you have a “Clunker” that you have owned, registered and insured for the last 365 continuous days ( 1 Year)…you may qualify for one of the biggest federal rebates…EVER!

The big federal stimulus train is leaving the station with-out Oregon, again. Congress has been discussing tax credits to individuals that purchased a NEW vehicle “Made in America”. Lots of ideas surfaced. Originally some thought the credit might go as high as $15,000. But in the final analysis the number was reduced to only $1500.
But wait, at the eleventh hour one of the Senators decided to change the number again. The thought was to make the tax credit equal to the sales tax an individual would pay on the car in their home state!! Oh NO! Oregon has no sales tax! So guess how much your tax credit will be on a new car purchased here?? $ZERO$. At a time when the government is willing to spend so much money on HELP…Oregon, Montana, Nevada and Alaska will get none.
One bright spot…if you are going to buy a new Toyota Prius Hybrid…Now’s the time. They are about $3,000-$4,000 less now than they were last May. And you still get a $750 tax credit from Oregon and a $750 tax credit from the feds, next year on your taxes.
So if you want to maximize your car buying dollars and make them go farther… you need to contact Bob Bonnell @ BestCarDealinTown.com. I’ll find you the best deal on ANY new or used car you’re looking for!
Best regards,

Ed- Here’s a timely bit of info I think most potential car buyers are not aware of.
Money is readily available for new and used cars to most buyers. NO the days of the subprime loans have not returned. However, there is a gap in the reporting of available funds by the mainstream media.
Most people will be able to buy the car or truck of their choice…and get the financing they need to complete the deal! There are millions of dollars available…right now for auto loans. And the lowest rate as of yesterday is On-Point Credit Union @ 4.74% on new and used 2008 and 2009 cars, trucks and vans. Yes you must have excellent credit to qualify at this rate. But you can still get a loan even if your beacon is down around 621.
At the lower credit scores, your interest rate will go up, but you will qualify for a loan. Your entire credit history will be reviewed. But in most cases you will get approved. You then get a new or used car, truck or van. Now this get’s America rolling again!
America needs car buyers…right now. Consumer confidence needs to be raised. The money is out there waiting for you. Call Bob Bonnell @ 503-643-4585 or click on BestCarDealinTown.com to get moving on the best deal on any vehicle.
Best regards,
